BULLETIN: JEWISH COMPLICATION IN THE ‘HOLOCAUST’. 

• Contrary to the “Jews were afraid of death” excuse, Jews did not perceive Nazi Germany as particularly dangerous until 1942 (Szende 1945).

Jews, in fact, collaborated with the Nazis long before that.

• The first step to collaboration is asking or accepting favors from the enemy. Jews first demanded separatism and autonomy from the new Nazi German conquerors of Poland. The Germans cynically agreed to this, allowing the creation of the Judenrat (Friedman 1980).

• Jews were never forced to create a Judenrat (Porat 2019).

• The cruelty and corruption of the Jewish ghetto police in the service of the Germans dated back to the beginning and long before the Germans began permanently killing Jews (Ringelblum 1952).

• Far from anticipating the Holocaust (another false excuse for collaboration), Jews did not imagine a Nazi Holocaust because of their ingrained belief that Germans were fundamentally cultured and civilized (Gat 2014, Hausner 1978, Katz 2013, Shatyn 1985, Schoenfeld 1985, Wells 1963).

• Moreover, Jews did not believe in the reality of the unfolding Holocaust even long after it began (Eisner 1996, Greif 2005, Lubetkin 1981).

• Contrary to the “Jews were afraid of death” excuse, Jewish ghetto police sent Jews to extermination camps without any prior belief that avoiding transports was the only way to avoid death (Braatz 2011).

• Jewish kapos were not forced to take up such positions (Guterman 2008).

• Contrary to justifications, Jewish kapos beating other Jews were not trying to “impress the Germans”. Jewish capos beat other Jews even when the Germans weren’t looking! (Finkel 2017, Porat 2019).

• Jewish traitors to other Jews often acted willingly (Finkel 2017).

• Jewish Gestapo agents acted for selfish, personal gain (Carnaghi 2020).

• Jewish collaboration was crucial to German success in killing 6,000,000 Jews. For example, between 2,000 and 3,000 Jewish ghetto policemen did the work of 10,000 would-be German deputies, sending 400,000 Warsaw Jews to their deaths at Treblinka (Zuckerman 1993).

• Jewish collaborators had their privileges. They fraternized with the Germans and sometimes even got their own cars (Browning 2003, Niewyk 1998, Wolgelernter 2015).

• The Jewish police in the ghetto could do evil regardless of German orders. They demanded bribes and often blackmailed other Jews (Drix 2003, Kulkielko 2018)

• The Judenrat used the German order to collect taxes from Jews as a pretext to collect additional money – for its own clique (Wolgelernter 2015; see also Redner 2015, Smolar 1989).

• In fact, some leading collaborating Jews planned to survive the Holocaust and live off the enormous wealth they acquired from the doomed Jews (Sierakowiak 1998).

• Many members of the Judenrat and the Jewish police in the ghetto lived lavishly at the expense of other Jews (Goda 2014, Kruk 2002).

• The Judenrat conscientiously performed its tasks beyond German orders (Hilberg 2002, Kruk 2002).

 • When the Holocaust occurred, the Judenrat deliberately deceived Jews by assuring them of their safety in German hands – and not only in the infamous Kastner case! (Arendt 2007, Bogdanor 2016, Cholawsky 1997, Kruk 2002, Ringel 1973, Tenenbaum 2001).

• German Nazis did everything in their power to tame Jewish collaborators because they rightly believed that Jews could be turned against other Jews in carrying out the Holocaust (Hecht 1961; see also Greif 2005).

• The Judenrat decided which Jews would live and which would die (MacDonald 1974, Ronen 2011). This began before the death of all the Jews in the ghetto became obvious.

• “Preventing a worse situation” is the standard excuse for collaborators of all nationalities and does not apply to Jewish collaboration. Jews collaborated with the Nazis even when there was nothing “bad” to avoid (Trunk 1972).

• Hannah Arendt, who spoke out about Jewish-Nazi collaboration, faced organized vilification from the ADL and other powerful Jewish groups trying to discredit her (Brightman 1995).
