In the last weeks and months, America’s Left converged with at least half of American conservatives on one issue: To get rid of pro-Israel lobbies, which have subverted our republic (Yes, other interest groups are doing the same, but they are domestic and should be treated differently). How can Trump or anyone be “America First” when everything they do is putting Israel first?
Glenn Greenwald, of Jewish descent himself, is among the best political analysts. In this video, he reports that Israeli media outlets such as The Jerusalem Post have spotlighted what they describe as the most influential Jewish figures in business, politics, and culture. Prominent among them are Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison, Oracle CEO Safra Katz, and other tech and media leaders whose wealth and networks extend across Silicon Valley, Hollywood, and Wall Street. The lists emphasize not only their global business influence but also their close alignment with Israeli interests—from Ellison’s record-breaking donations to the IDF, to Katz’s insistence that loyalty to Israel is a prerequisite for working at Oracle. What these Israeli publications openly acknowledge—Israel-centered philanthropy, political access, and media ownership—are subjects often deemed too sensitive or taboo to discuss in U.S. contexts without being accused of perpetuating stereotypes.
At the center of this scrutiny is Larry Ellison, who, alongside his son David, now wields control over CBS, Paramount, and TikTok. Reports and leaked communications suggest coordination with Israeli officials to counter critics of Israel, raising concerns about how such media platforms might be leveraged to shape American public opinion. At the same time, Oracle has assumed stewardship of TikTok’s vast user data, a role that intertwines surveillance with questions of national security. Ellison himself has been explicit in championing an AI-driven surveillance future, where citizens and police alike are “better behaved” under constant monitoring.
This convergence of philanthropy, media ownership, and surveillance power paints a striking portrait of influence at a moment when American public support for Israel is in flux. What Israeli outlets portray as a celebration of leadership and loyalty to the Jewish state, others see as raising urgent questions about transparency, press independence, and the future of digital privacy.
