WHO WERE THE NAZIS ?

Most Germans still to this day have little knowledge of their treatment of the Polish.

In fact, I notice quite clearly in many responses to my tweets how many Germans view the war and the Polish and how they are actually at fault for their own murders.

Almost everyone knows about the Jewish Holocaust, at least Western Civilization.

Almost every major city in my country has a museum and in all schools it’s mandatory to teach at length about this.

I was an educator and I know.; and yes, all of my students learned about the Polish and I am sure they won’t forget.

The Holocaust did not even happen in my nation but it’s still one of our most memorable events, even over our Civil War and many other integral events.

But what about the other victims?

The Polish?

I can’t tell you how many times I have come across sites with no mention of Polish victims, including Dachau.

In speeches about the Holocaust they are also cut out from history, it’s truly frustrating.

Nancy Pelosi simply ignored the Polish victims at Auschwitz mentioning only “Jews, Roma, LGBTQ individuals, people with disabilities,” even though Poles far outnumbered all of those categories combined. (Press Release, January 21, 2020)

There were 150 homosexual victims and 150,000 Polish victims.

Places where Poles are the primary victims do not even honor them.

I can tell you most Americans do not know that Poles were victims in the genocide, so it’s important that we inform them so they are not forgotten or actually intentional ignored.

Their lives mattered.

I will share more on how the Polish have been eliminated from history, specifically where it should be vital because these are the people that exterminated them:

German President Von Weiszacker gave a speech on the People’s Day of Mourning. In the text of the speech, he specifically mentioned the German-murdered Poles. (p. 236).

However, when these words were shortened in order to be put on a plaque, the Poles disappeared.

Margalit calls out this transparent politics of memory, “In Von Weiszacker’s speech, the victims of the Germans are singled out first, headed by the Jews, and the Germans themselves mentioned only afterward. In the revision, all the dead and suffering are mixed together before specific mention of “Nazi” victims.

Thus German victims are implicitly included both in the beginning and the end.

The explicit reference to Soviet and Polish victims, which came second in the president’s draft, was eliminated.” (p. 227. Emphasis added).

This slighting of Poles is easily generalized, “While the SED [Socialist Unity Party] had previously considered reconciliation with Poland and Czechoslovakia to be important, these nations were apparently held in less regard after German reunification, in contrast to Russia and the West. Thus the terrible Nazi bombardment of Warsaw in 1939 was omitted.” (p. 249. Emphasis added).

Gilad Margalit then drives the final nail in the coffin of purported German repentance, “Nevertheless, the narrative of Soviet and Slavic victims of the war, whose numbers exceeded those of all other groups mentioned above, combined, has not to this day succeeded in penetrating German consciousness in a similar way, and its manifestations in the landscape of memory cannot be compared to other groups of victims.” (p. 293. Emphasis added).

If you’re Polish, I think you probably already know this, but maybe knowing more of how this happened may give you insight into how the Polish disappeared as victims and now worse are being turned into collaborators.
