Polish Truck Driver Kidnapped, Killed for Truck Used in Berlin ISIS Attack at Christmas Market

The Polish media is far more forthcoming than the German media – so entrenched are they in Merkel’s Muslim immigration disaster.

At least nine people were killed and up to 50 injured after a truck with Polish license plates drove into the crowd during the Christmas fair in the German capital.

My source tells me that the jihadis who plowed into a Christmas market today in Berlin stole the truck from a Polish driver who was making a delivery to a Muslim neighborhood. The Polish truck driver told his wife he “did not feel safe” in that neighborhood. His wife has not been heard back from him since 3 pm.

Berlin police say that the Polish driver’s body was found in the cab of the truck. According to “Die Welt,”he died from gunshot wounds. Polish authorities are in contact with the German services.

According to the NY post,  the Islamic State has claimed responsibility.

Using encrypted technology, the group said they found several jihadist Twitter accounts that had been claiming responsibility for the alleged attack, according to the Washington Times.

Today afternoon was the last time I had contact with the driver of this truck. At 4 pm his wife called him and he wasn’t picking up his phone. Yes, it is my truck – said Ariel Żurawski, the owner of the lorry that went into a crowd of people at a Christmas market in Berlin.

– We got this viehicle in June. It was all new. It was in Berlin because we were taking it from Italy and we were supposed to unload it in Berlin. The Germans didn’t want to unload the truck today, they said to the driver to wait until tomorrow 8 am – said the owner.

Today, around noon I had my last contact with the driver of this truck. Around 16:00 (4pm) his wife called him and he didn’t pick up the phone. Yes, this is my truck – said Ariel Żurawski, owner of the truck, which ploughed through christmas market in Berlin.

This truck was bough in June, fully featured (i think they meant that this truck had every possible feature available, like air conditioning, best possible options, etc – translator). It was in Berlin, because we were riding from Italy and we had to stop there to unload. Germans did not unload the truck, they said, that he should wait till 8:00 (8am) next morning – said the owner.

He said, that the driver is his cousin. When he called him last time, the driver said, that the only real Germans he saw in this location, were the workers at the office.

– From what I know, the driver was caught, when he was running. Well, my driver weights around 130kg (around 286lbs), so he couldn’t run. He was waiting before the entrance to the company, where he should unload and he was alone in the truck’s cabin – he said.

Police have now confirmed that the person found dead in the cab at the scene was a Polish national, but have not formally identified him, and it is claimed a man arrested nearby was a refugee.

News of nationality of the dead man in the truck has fueled Mt Zielinski’s fears that the 25-tonne truck, laden with steel was hijacked and with no headlights, was hijacked on its way back to Poland.

Mr Zielinski, whose company is based in Gryfino in northwest Poland, told local news channel TVN24 today: ‘We haven’t heard from him since this afternoon. We don’t know what happened to him.’

‘I can say hand on heart that the man who drove into those people in the centre of Berlin was not my driver.

‘This is my cousin. I’ve known him since I was born. My scenario is that they did something to the driver – they hijacked this vehicle because it was practically in the centre of Berlin and they had a good vehicle with which they could do what they did.

‘It wasn’t my driver, the one that was driving it. They did something to my driver, God forbid, something serious. It looks like that.’

The haulage firm’s owner had previously described how the driver’s wife had been unable to contact him at around 4pm – hours before the bloodbath – and no-one had spoken to him since midday.

The Scania-made lorry is owned by company Arial Zurawski, which is based in Gryfino in northwest Poland, and was fully laden with steel, making the heavy lorry even more deadly.

He added: ‘The truck was coming back from Italy and was in Berlin to unload his cargo in the morning.

My sources from Germany and Poland reported that initially the German media attempted to blame the terror attack on the Polish driver.

An update

Hopefully this time the German police ‘caught’ the right man, who was identified as Tunisian named Anis Amri .  

The man is aged 21 or 23 and known by three different names, according to reports in the daily Allgemeine Zeitung and the Bild newspaper.He moved around Germany and lived in several places, Mr Jäger said. Since February this year he lived mostly in Berlin, but he had been back in North Rhine-Westphalia recently.

It emerged that Anis Amri had been under covert surveillance for months but German police called off the operation in September.  (Interesting! What a shame! Admin.)
