People sentenced to death for helping Jews

Poland – 50,000 (estimated much more – many Poles died with the Jews they were hiding – up to 1 million helped Jews in some form.)
In fact, Poles were targeting first before the Jews and Auschwitz was built specifically for the Polish.
When the Final Solution did begin it was the Polish that warned the world repeatedly. Even the Polish government in exile informed other nations and even provided aid to the Jews, no one did anything but the Polish.
The Polish even set up their very own organization designed to save Jews, Zegota. This was an extraordinary group that saved thousands of Jews at the risk of their lives.

In Poland as well, the punishment for helping Jews was so severe that the whole family and even the village could be executed for even giving a Jew water.
There is reason for that, because the Poles were so overwhelmingly supportive they had to try and stop them. Think about it logically. Why else would they make such an enforcement.
Even so, without Polish aid, the Warsaw ghetto would starve in a matter of months without the Polish. And yes, the Polish aided the Jews in the uprising and without Polish support it would have been impossible.
The Polish did much for the Jewish but today there is a false narrative being spread. Don’t believe it.

Following up on my last post, I felt the duty to add: it is nothing short of criminal in the world of history to strip a victim of her dignity and agency by relabeling her to fit an agenda. This is a low move not only against Czesława herself but against all of Poland and her countless victims. I highly doubt it will happen, but Rabbi Shmuley owes Poland and the Polish people a heartfelt apology.
It is deeply offensive and historically dishonest to misidentify Czesława Kwoka — a Polish Catholic child murdered at Auschwitz — as Jewish. Czesława was beaten and then killed with a phenol injection to the heart in February 1943. She was only fourteen years old. To claim otherwise is not only factually false, it disrespects her memory, dishonors the Polish people who also suffered and died in Auschwitz, and distorts history itself.
Millions of Poles, alongside Roma, Russians, and Jews, were brutalized and murdered by the Germans. Their suffering deserves to be remembered accurately, for who they were. For a man who carries the title Rabbi to spread falsehood about a murdered child — and to invoke the IDF in doing so — is profoundly shameful. If memory is sacred, then truth must also be sacred.
To misuse Czesława’s image for political messaging is to erase who she really was, and that is nothing less than a second act of violence against her. She deserves remembrance as she was: a Polish Catholic girl, innocent, beaten, and murdered in Auschwitz. Nothing less than the truth honors her.
